Preparing for your Caribbean sailing getaway - Have fun whatever the weather

The Caribbean’s hurricane season officially begins in early June and doesn’t end until late November. There are some regions which are much more prone to hurricanes, particularly those in the northeast around the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Florida.

It’s never too cold or too hot in the Caribbean, with temperatures sitting between 24 and 29 degrees all year round. The climate around Antigua and Barbuda is at its best between early December and late April, which makes these places an ideal winter getaway for those of us in the northern hemisphere.

You can look forward to plenty of balmy days with a light breeze and only a minimal chance of rain, which will provide you with ample opportunities to both lounge ocean-side and explore the very best of this incredibly special part of the world.
