The Mediterranean is a wonderful ocean, and the section occupied by Greece and its islands is ideal for sailing. This is because sailing gives you an easy and fun way to move between the islands and mainland, each with its own character and set of attractions. While in Greece sailing  from island to island on the beautiful blue waters, there are a number of places that you should take the opportunity to visit and experience for yourself.

Athens is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is home to a number of wonderful ancient sites such as the famous Acropolis as well as some fantastic museums. It is also a city that rivals Paris for its wealth of lovely little cafes, and like any city there are a huge range of amenities and attractions to keep you entertained. Mykonos is one of the most famous Greek islands, and one of the most popular with tourists. There are plenty of good reasons behind the reputation, and this will quickly become clear if you pay the island a visit. It combines beautiful scenery and some of the country’s very best beaches with an exciting party scene.

Spetses is in essence a miniature version of the whole of Greece. It combines in a single place all the attractions for which Greece is famous. Those who are drawn mostly to the beaches can enjoy some of the best sandy seashores around, while history lovers can check out some beautiful works of historic architecture. Once the sun sets, a thriving nightlife scene emerges, with something for any party animal to enjoy.
