Turkey is a wonderful place to visit. It stands astride the line that divides Europe from Asia, and its culture takes influences from both continents to create a fascinating, rich and diverse experience. One of the best ways to see Turkey is to hire a yacht, so that you can travel between towns and cities along its beautiful coastline. Some of the places you shouldn’t miss when you sail the Turkish coast include:

Kapi Creek
When it comes to natural beauty (something Turkey has in abundance), it is very hard to beat Kapi Creek. This anchorage includes pretty secluded bays and plenty of pine and olive trees. The scenery is truly lovely, and the food to be found at the bay restaurant is just as wonderful. There is also a hill, offering magnificent views for those who trek to the top, and some interesting ancient structures for those interested in history.

Fethiye
Fethiye is a small but bustling settlement that has something to offer everyone. The bazaar is the perfect place to grab some souvenirs of your trip, while the fish market is the perfect place to grab some fresh, delicious and expertly-prepared dinner. There are also charming old-fashioned streets, traditional Turkish baths and plenty of history to be found among the delightful bars and restaurants.

Gocek
Where Fethiye is lively, Gocek is delightfully quiet. This peaceful little town features an idyllic collection of single-storey buildings, set in a big and beautiful bay. Despite its size and central location, the bay is also home to plenty of coves and islands and is delightfully secluded. The result is an atmosphere of peace and quiet, perfect for relaxation.
