Split is a fantastically diverse city, boasting a heady juxtaposition of attractions – from ancient historic sites to happening nightclubs and everything in between.

The famous Diocletian’s Palace is a must see. A visit to this immense structure will transport you back in time to the age when the Romans were all powerful in this part of the world in Split, and you will be amazed at just how well preserved the building is, at nearly two thousand years old.croatia-vacation-split-old-town-yacht-getaways
Brela Beach is renowned for its pretty pebbled shoreline, crystal clear water and the swathe of green forest that surrounds it. It does get busy during the summer season, but it is still possible to find a secluded spot. Slightly further afield is the lovely Hvar Isalnd with its charming old city and welcoming residents. Fruits Square is a bustling market packed full of Croatian charm and when you are sailing Croatia, it is the perfect place to pick up some great local produce to take back to your yacht.

As night falls, Split’s vibrant night scene starts to warm up. During the summer months there is a packed cultural calendar, encompassing festivals, street performances and concerts that take place all over the city. There is a great selection of bars, restaurants and nightclubs, some along the coastline, and still more in the city centre and around the Diocletian Palace. sailing-croatia-split-port-yacht-getaways
