Primosten has been a popular holiday destination since the 1960s and it is easy to see why. Packed with charm and with lots to see and do, a break here is sure to be enjoyable.

This Mediterranean fishing town is well preserved and has retained much of its medieval character. The narrow streets of the old town, which are thronged with houses, cafes and shops, are perfect for an interesting walk. At the top of the hill is an absolutely stunning 15th-century chapel, the Church of St George. Not only are there great views of the town from here but also in the evening the church is beautifully lit and simply breathtaking.

The pebble beach of Velika Raduca is lovely. Spotlessly clean and with plenty of shade from the pine trees along the edge, it is perfect for families with young children. The real draw here is the lovely water, which is clear, warm and beautifully coloured.

This region is known for its winemaking and a visit to a local vineyard is highly recommended. There are also lots of activities that can be enjoyed here, including water sports, cycling and hiking.

If you yacht in Croatia, the charming town of Primosten is well worth a look.
