The Landscape Is Astounding

Evidence of human presence dates back to the Neolithic era so, alongside soaking in the spectacular views of the natural landscapes in every direction, you’ll also have centuries of history to uncover. As you walk along some of the designated hiking paths through the park you’ll see Romanesque churches, ancient saltworks, and 13th-century settlements nestled perfectly within the wider landscape.

The Wildlife Is Beautiful

Kornati National Park is home to a wide variety of birds, reptiles, insects, and mammals. Look out for, lizards, non-venomous snakes, bats, sheep, some of the 18 species of butterfly, donkeys… Honestly, we really could go on forever here!

Explore Life Beneath The Waves On Your Sailing Getaway

With more than 60 species of corals, 180 species of fish, 60 species of crab and so much more, it’s safe to say that life beneath the water’s surface is bustling. Crystal-clear waters lend themselves perfectly to swimming and snorkeling and, if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of loggerhead turtles and bottlenose dolphins.

The Food Is Impeccable

There are around 25 taverns and restaurants located within the National Park so you can be certain that you’re going to be treated to the very best of Croatian cuisine. You’ll find menus filled with a variety of fresh fish and seafood dishes: the fresh crab is always particularly delicious, alongside plenty of meat and vegetable-based options too.

Every Measure Is Taken To Ensure The Park Is Protected For Future Generations

Several areas of the park are strictly protected, with visitors not permitted within them. Conservation is key, and ensuring the flora, fauna and surrounding waters remain free from disturbance and pollution is a consistent priority
