Our Reviews

We sailed with Kim and Tim on Dream of Life in July '26. It was the first time we had ever booked a sailing holiday. It exceeded all expectations in every way and my expectations were high! This is partly (though only partly) due to the fact that we ended up being the only guests on the boat for the week which inevitably made the trip more special. But our host and skipper were SO good if I wrote what I really think anyone reading this would think I was being paid or a member of their family!! The whole trip was like living a dream Instagram life for real. The highlight, for me, was a day and night spent at anchor in a quiet cove where we swam, paddle-boarded, snorkelled and ate like kings before watching the stars come out with no light pollution. Kim - a talented chef by training - made beautiful food and looked after our every need. Just need to save enough for next year! :-) PS, the food photos are the ACTUAL meals served!

I would say this was a once in a lifetime experience, except we loved it so much that I am already planning to take my sister back. Victor was an incredible skipper, affable and fun, with excellent boat handling and safety procedures. Betty was an exceptional host and cook with healthy, different and delicious food at every meal. We have tasted nothing better in Greece. The route, with all its secret swim spots and gorgeous villages was perfect. Often away from the maddening crowd, all part of Victor’s plan. The Ionian islands are beautiful.

My husband and I did the Athens Explorer trip and it was fantastic! Our skipper Eimear and host Lily were very knowledgeable and so much fun to talk to. There was some weather issues on the back half of the trip which altered the schedule a bit but Eimear was on top of it and constantly working on alternative stops making sure we had fun and stayed safe. Lily's food tasted amazing and was gorgeous to look at every day, and you could tell she put a lot of care into each dish. Over all the trip was definitely worth it and we would recommend going to anyone on the fence!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Corfu explorer sail with Lydia and Victor. The boat was great, the weather was perfect, our bed was comfortable. What really made the trip, was having our skipper Victor and host Lydia. They were a fantastic team, and made the week run so smoothly. Lydia’s cooking and hospitality was absolutely top notch, and we looked forward to each meal she provided. Victor was very knowledgeable about the landscape, sailing and culture. Victor was also clearly well liked by the locals which is always a great sign. Both kept up positive and enthusiastic attitudes the whole way through, even at the end of a long day. We felt completely safe the entire time and really enjoyed partaking in sailing. We would 100% recommend this experience.

Eimear was incredibly welcoming, and her level of knowledge and professionalism was outstanding. Her experience with the catamaran made us feel safe and at ease throughout the trip. She kept us informed about our daily activities, sailing routes, and what to expect on each island. Eimear took the time to teach the boys some sailing skills, sharing her knowledge in a fun way. We shared many laughs, and she made us feel right at home.
Laura:
Laura was friendly, sweet, and highly professional. Her cooking skills were exceptional; we all agreed that the food served on board was of restaurant quality. The variety was amazing, and she catered perfectly to our tastes, especially for the hungry boys. Her presence was a fabulous addition to the crew!
Team Dynamics:
Together, Laura and Eimear made a fantastic team. They worked diligently to ensure we had both fun and safety throughout our trip. This experience is one we will never forget, and we are incredibly grateful to both of them. We now consider them friends and hope to cross paths again somewhere in the world.

Best trip. Great knowledge and food, exceptional and wonderful ports, restaurants, great swimming. Will use you guys again in the Caribbean.

We enjoyed an amazing week on board the Hakuna Matata with Skipper Victor and host Lydia. We relaxed, swam, explored, enjoyed delicious food at every meal and throughly enjoyed the fellowship with the other passengers. It was truly a magical experience that we highly recommend!

Truely Wonderful experience. If you ever wanted to sail around the Greek Islands but not have to worry about the actual docking and admin side of a boat this is for you. Our Skipper was JJ and she managed the Cat superbly, and was always thinking of little hidden spots we would love.
Every day we would wake up to a fab breakfast cooked fresh by Liv, whose presentation would put a 5 star buffet to shame. Lunch was cooked everyday for us and each day was something different. One of the girls was vegetarian and liv created a unique dish just for her for each meal.
Our room was comfortable, it’s a queen sized bed and there is a small wardrobe and mini bathroom. We heeded the advice to bring soft sports bags, and were greatful. We left our big bags at the hotel we stayed in at Vasiliki before our trip and post our trip which was great, and just took boat clothes with us. A good move, the others had to store the bags in their shower as there is no walk around room.
Each night a different port and a different experience. Good shopping good food and great company.
Our fellow passengers were wonderful. A couple from Perth, three solo ladies and the two of us plus two crew. This is a great way to travel if you are single but want to see things with others. We all bonded well and everyone got on and enjoyed each others company.
I swam for hours, snorkeling every stop to see the different fish. Truely picture perfect. This would be a difficult trip for people with mobility issues or who couldn’t swim. Great for people who are active and fit. Love love loved everyday. The perfect stress free holiday.

Had such a great time, Lily’s food was better than any restaurants and Filip was so lovely and very handsome 😂 No but in all seriousness, our group will forever go on about what a great trip we had on the sail. We saw so many beautiful places and got to swim, relax in the sun, wonder around towns, it was incredible.
Our hostess Lily was such an outgoing and friendly person, got in on the jokes and made the most incredible food, even thoughtfully made a birthday cake for Mark’s birthday.
Our skipper Filip was so lovely, he let some of us take the wheel and showed us how things worked, he gave us great restaurant/sightseeing referrals and booked things for us and always offered us wine or a coffee.
Our group organised silly shirts for a mates birthday and both Lily and Filip got in on it and wore the shirts with us - it was a good laugh for when Mark woke up on his birthday.
Thank you to Lily for the incredible food (nothing will compare) and your friendly outgoing personality that hyped us all up.
Thank you Filip for your kindness, the safe travels, your recommendations and your history wisdom.
But mostly thank you both for putting up with all of us for a whole week!!
Couldn’t recommend the sail and the staff enough! 🩵

6 night cruise around the Greek islands with skipper Tomer and host Jose Simon. This was truly an amazing experience. Tomer our skipper was very accommodating to all guests to ensure we experienced the best of the best, from caves, private beaches, sailing and restaurant reservations along the way. Jose Simon our host was a very professional and friendly young man who cooked us the BEST meals onboard. Nothing was a hassle for either the skipper or Jose who made sure we were all very well looked after. Boat was always clean and tidy and guests were encouraged to laze around and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Greek islands
Star gazing from the deck and wishing upon a shooting star was magic ✨
Loved every second of boat life
Thank you !! 🙏🏼

We had the most incredible week on the Corfu Explorer trip with Yacht Getaways. It was exactly the relaxing holiday we were hoping for.
Every day we swam in crystal-clear water at stunning bays and secluded swimming spots, and each stop seemed even more beautiful than the last. One of the highlights was exploring the gorgeous island of Paxos by scooter, which gave us the chance to discover charming villages, hidden beaches and spectacular views.
A huge thank you to our skipper, Victor, who was one of the best skippers we've ever had. He was endlessly positive, calm and fun, and somehow never seemed stressed, no matter what was happening. He created such a relaxed atmosphere onboard and made everyone feel welcome. He also encouraged anyone who was interested to get involved with the sailing, which made the experience even more memorable.
Lydia, our chef, was equally amazing. Every meal was fresh, healthy and incredibly nourishing, and she made everything look effortless. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble, and she always had a smile on her face. We genuinely looked forward to every meal.
The combination of beautiful sailing, daily swims, fantastic food and such an exceptional crew made this one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we've ever had. We couldn't recommend Yacht Getaways and the Corfu Explorer trip more highly, and we'll definitely be back.

This has to be the best experience in my life. Everything about this trip was way beyond my expectations. The skipper and just were amazing. The food was gourmet.
