We had an incredible, stress-free week sailing through the Saronic Islands with Yacht Getaways. Our crew Eimear and Laura were amazing. Eimear, our skipper, and Laura, our host, ensured everything was well organised, even from before we stepped aboard. Eimear created a WhatsApp group for questions and provided information so we knew what to expect and get prepared. Laura contacted us personally to make sure she was aware of special food needs.
Eimear was an exceptional skipper. Safety was her top priority, with her calm and confident demeanour admirable. She was incredibly knowledgeable, knowing the best places to take us according to the current sailing conditions. She navigated to gorgeous little bays, islands and swimming spots. Her knowledge of villages, sights and businesses on the islands was amazing. She advised us on great places to eat, drink and visit everywhere we went and offered to assist us in booking activities when we moored. Eimear really went above and beyond to make our trip a memorable one.
Eimear also encouraged us to get involved in the sailing, taking the time to explain what she was doing and why. She made sailing look easy!
Every breakfast and lunch was freshly prepared and beautifully presented by Laura. It was all delicios. No two meals were the same. She always went the extra mile without being asked. Her kind, warm and attentive nature added to the positive atmosphere on the boat.
Eimear and Laura were a great team. They went above and beyond to make our week unforgettable, including providing a lovely celebration when our daughter announced her engagement.
The catamaran itself had everything we needed for a relaxed week at sea. There was lots of fresh hot water for showers in our ensuite bathroom and our cabins had comfortable beds. There was air conditioning when it got really hot. The paddle boards, floaties, snorkels and goggles were fun for when we were swimming.
Our week sailing was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation from start to finish. We had an awesome time and would certainly like to do this again.

I would say this was a once in a lifetime experience, except we loved it so much that I am already planning to take my sister back. Victor was an incredible skipper, affable and fun, with excellent boat handling and safety procedures. Betty was an exceptional host and cook with healthy, different and delicious food at every meal. We have tasted nothing better in Greece. The route, with all its secret swim spots and gorgeous villages was perfect. Often away from the maddening crowd, all part of Victor’s plan. The Ionian islands are beautiful.

My husband and I did the Athens Explorer trip and it was fantastic! Our skipper Eimear and host Lily were very knowledgeable and so much fun to talk to. There was some weather issues on the back half of the trip which altered the schedule a bit but Eimear was on top of it and constantly working on alternative stops making sure we had fun and stayed safe. Lily's food tasted amazing and was gorgeous to look at every day, and you could tell she put a lot of care into each dish. Over all the trip was definitely worth it and we would recommend going to anyone on the fence!

Mickey our captain and Katie our host and chef were outstanding at their jobs and worked together as a fantastic team. Mickey was very friendly while being extremely professional at all times. He was always keen to make way under sail when conditions were safe, we loved this. Katie worked relentlessly both helping Mickey with the boat and her meticulous, detailed and delicious food carefully prepared to exacting standards.
Can’t thank Mickey and Katie enough for a perfect very memorable experience.
Our catamaran was in good serviceable order and functioned well, but approaching 10 years old she felt a bit tired. For the price of the holiday I perhaps expected a little better.
The holiday was sold as a very premium package, our boat was functional, but our holiday experience that Mickey and Katie created for us was a life long memory.
Can’t wait for our next sailing holiday, but a bit sad that we won’t ever get a team like Mickey and Katie again. Thankyou to the both of you and all the best for your future careers.
