Dokos may be small but it is a fabulous place to visit if you want to experience Greece’s untamed natural beauty. It is perfect for hiking and is also the location of the oldest shipwreck in the world. Many relics have been recovered, which can be seen at the museum on the nearby island of Spetses. Agistri is a popular day trip destination with Athenians, thanks to its great location and fabulous beaches, whilst Methana offers visitors a unique opportunity to bathe in its thermal springs.

The Cyclades, home to Santorini and Mykonos, include several smaller islands that absolutely epitomise Greece. Naxos is famed for its wine production and has several vineyards to visit, whilst Ios is the perfect place to experience the bustling Greek nightlife. The religious sanctuary of Delos is probably one of the most significant archaeological and historical sites in the region and is well worth a visit.

Make the most of a tailor-made trip and take the opportunity to visit some less-busy destinations where you can really soak up the true atmosphere of Greece.
