Split has a wealth of cafes, where you can enjoy an evening drink and watch the world go by as the sun goes down. Luxor is located in the courtyard of the cathedral, making it a popular hangout for tourists. For an early evening drink with enchanting sea views and plenty of local colour, head to Zbirac. Hilltop cafe Vidilica also offers spectacular views across this beautiful town. Tri Volta, as the name suggests, is situated under the arches of three enormous vaults near the seaside, and is the perfect place to find an eclectic crowd.

For a special way to spend the evening, the Croatian National Theatre offers a huge variety of shows, from opera and ballet to stage shows and contemporary musical performances. If you still have some energy to spare, there are plenty of places to dance the night away. Imperium is the largest, with two dancefloors and a desirable harbourside location. O’Hara is a firm favourite in Zenta, offering a wide selection of musical genres, whilst nearby Hedonist is the place to see and be seen.

From sophisticated entertainment to leisurely relaxation, there are plenty of evening venues to please in Split.
