Explore the port of Korfos with yacht charters in Greece

Yacht charters in Greece provide the perfect opportunity to get off the beaten tourist track and explore some of region’s lesser-known destinations. The village of Korfos is situated near the port of Sofiko in Corinthia, not to be confused with the town of the same name on the island of Mykonos. This small fishing village makes a charming stop off on your sailing holiday.

Visiting Greek islands - Which ports to check out

Korfos has a rich naval history thanks to its convenient location on the old trading routes. Many of the residents have strong links to maritime professions and there is a pleasing sense of tradition. The bay itself rests against a backdrop of pine-covered slopes, providing plenty of delightful walks.

There are a number of interesting church buildings to look at, including the churches of Virgin Mary of Stiri, St Anne and All Saints. A more modern place of worship was built at the beginning of the 20th century by Korfos fishermen; this is Zodochos Pigi.

This lovely little port has plenty of restaurants and cafes offering fresh fish and great views whilst you watch the stunning sunset. Korfos is ideally situated if you want to take a trip further into the mainland to explore the fascinating sites of ancient Corinth, Mycenae or Nafplio.
