One of the main reasons visitors come here is to enjoy the lovely beaches, which are among Croatia’s finest. The best is Trstenica, a long curving beach of sand and fine shingle perfect for sunbathing. Fringed with trees and situated next to vibrant turquoise water, this beach is wonderfully sheltered and brilliant for families. There are plenty of water sports to enjoy in Orebic, including windsurfing, water-skiing and scuba diving.

For active types Mount Ilija offers excellent walking opportunities in stunning surroundings. Hike up to the summit for breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside or admire the rolling vistas of the many vineyards. Cycling is one of the most popular activities here, with many dedicated paths and lots of opportunities to try exhilarating off-road mountain biking.

The Franciscan monastery of Our Lady of Angels is one of Orebic’s prettiest historical attractions and you can see all the way to Korcula and Mljet from its lookout post. The town also has an interesting museum devoted to the region’s rich maritime history.

Enjoy challenging walks under gorgeous sunny skies followed by a spot of relaxing on an idyllic beach in beautiful Orebic.
