Get back to nature with sailing holidays in Croatia

There are many reasons to holiday in Croatia, including good weather and plenty of interesting places to visit. But one of this region’s most spectacular traits is the outstanding natural beauty you can enjoy here, particularly on the islands. Situated near the popular destination of Hvar, Scedro is one of Croatia’s real gems.

The entire island is protected as a nature park and as such is beautifully unspoilt. There are plenty of secret coves to discover and tranquil bays in which to moor a boat. Mostir Bay has one of the loveliest beaches and is the perfect spot to spend a relaxing afternoon sampling some of the delicious local Dalmatian cuisine at a welcoming family-run restaurant. The nearby ruins of a 14th century monastery are a great spot to enjoy a post-lunch walk.

Activities for a sailing holiday in Croatia - Visit a quiet bay

Pay a visit to Bay Veli and bathe in the stunningly clear waters. Bay Porterusa is a secluded cove surrounded by some of Scedro’s most ruggedly charming backdrops. Venture further inland to explore the local landscape and soak up the wild beauty of this off-the-beaten-track isle. Sailing holidays in Croatia also offer the opportunity to go dolphin-spotting in the seas surrounding Scedro – a truly unforgettable experience.
