Each maritime gem has its own unique character and you can enjoy a wealth of varied destinations when you are sailing the Greek islands. Ios, in the Cyclades, has a reputation as one of the region’s most entertaining party islands, but there is so much more for visitors to enjoy.

Sailing in Greece - Make the most of your stay

The beaches here are among the best you will find in Greece. Mylopotas is the most popular, offering lots of good facilities. This is also where most of the famous beach parties are held; however, if you prefer a little more peace, they are easy to avoid. The island also has plenty of secluded spots to enjoy a swim or sunbathe. Head for Manganari, Kalamos or Papa to enjoy a quieter beach experience.

Away from the bustling nightlife, Ios is a delightful island with plenty of old-world authentic Greek charm. The town of Chora is crammed full of winding streets and quaint little buildings, including the iconic windmills. The daytime is perfect for wandering around and soaking up the picturesque tranquil ambience, whilst the town comes alive with lots of bars and restaurants to enjoy at night. The views are also fantastic – climb the hill opposite the village to see this beautiful setting in all its glory or explore the pretty hilltop church of Panagia Gremiotissa.

Offering perfect peace and tranquillity during the day, followed by lively entertainment in the evening, Ios is a perfect combination of great Greek experiences.
