From here it is a fairly short sea hop over to beautiful Hydra. This is one of the most famous of the Saronic islands and certainly one of the most beautiful. The ancient fountains are spectacular, the buildings fascinating and with no motorised transport permitted, the whole town has a charming romantic feel. Enjoy the breath-taking sunset as you sample some of the local wine.

Travel from Hydra to Porto Cheli, not forgetting to stop off at Dhokos for a swim in the sheltered bay. From here you can then make your way to Ermioni, famed for its nature reserve. People have populated this area for the last five thousand years and it offers an intriguing insight into traditional Greek life. The clear waters are also great for snorkelling and diving.

On your way back to Athens you might also find time to stop at the island of Aegina, where you can see the Temple of Aphaia, wander round the archaeological site of Kolona or simply enjoy one of the gorgeous beaches. An island hopping holiday allows you to fit in a variety of different experiences and explore the many facets of Greek life.
