No. You don’t need any previous sailing experience to join a Yacht Getaways cruise. Your RYA-qualified skipper takes care of the sailing and navigation, while your professional host looks after life on board and prepares your meals. You’re welcome to learn the ropes or simply relax and enjoy the journey.
Your 7-day cruise includes six nights’ accommodation aboard your premium catamaran, an RYA-qualified skipper and professional host, daily breakfast and lunch, one evening meal onboard, selected drinks with meals, tea, coffee and drinking water, plus equipment for enjoying the water, including paddleboards and snorkelling gear.
Both options are available for your Croatia sailing holiday. Couples, small groups and solo travellers can book individual cabins, while families and large groups can choose to charter an entire yacht for a private sailing holiday.
Our catamarans typically have four to five private double cabins below deck, each with ensuite facilities, charging points, fans, and AC. Cabin sizes and layouts vary between yacht categories, with our Superior Plus yachts offering larger Queen+ beds on selected yachts.
Both routes offer incredible sailing, swimming and island hopping, but start with a different tempo and pace. Split to Dubrovnik begins with the larger and more popular central Dalmatian Islands like Hvar and Korčula. Dubrovnik to Split begins at a slower pace through islands with national parks like Mljet, and intimate fishing villages like Šipan, and ending in the larger ports. Choose based on if you'd like a quieter start to your journey, or ending with a quieter one, but both routes visit the same islands.
Our Croatia sailing season runs from May to October. July and August offer the height of the Mediterranean summer and a lively atmosphere, while May, June, September and October are ideal for travellers looking to experience Croatia outside the busiest summer period.
Most evenings you’ll arrive at a new island, harbour or seaside town with time to explore independently or with your fellow guests. Wander through town, have a drink by the water and discover local restaurants and Croatian Konobo’s before returning to your yacht. Sometimes we’ll be at anchor, giving you the chance to truly disconnect and experience the best part of yacht life in Dalmatia swimming the day away, and a night relaxing under the stars.
