No. You don’t need any previous sailing experience to join a Yacht Getaways cruise. Your RYA-qualified skipper takes care of the sailing and navigation, while your professional host prepares your included onboard meals. You’re welcome to learn the ropes and take the helm, or simply sit back and enjoy the journey.
Your 7-day cruise includes six nights’ accommodation aboard your premium catamaran, an RYA-qualified skipper and professional host, daily breakfast and lunch, one evening meal onboard, wine or soft drinks with meals, tea, coffee and drinking water, two paddle boards, snorkelling equipment, towels and fresh linen for the week.
Both options are available. Couples, small groups and solo travellers can book individual cabins, while families and large groups can choose to charter an entire yacht for a private sailing holiday.
Our catamarans typically have four to five private double cabins below deck, each with ensuite facilities, charging points, fans, and AC. Cabin sizes and layouts vary between yacht categories, with our Superior Plus yachts offering larger Queen+ beds on selected yachts.
Each route offers a different side of Greece. Paros explores the iconic Cyclades, Athens takes you through the Saronic Islands filled with ancient history, Corfu explores the lush North Ionian lined with sea caves, and Lefkada sails through the stunning South Ionian filled with blue lagoons and dramatic coastline. All four combine island hopping, swimming, local culture and time to explore ashore.
Our Greece sailing season runs from May to October. The summer months bring warmer weather and a livelier atmosphere, while the shoulder months of May, June, September and October can offer a quieter way to experience the islands.
Most evenings you’ll arrive at a new island, harbour or seaside town with time to explore independently or with your fellow guests. Wander through town, have a drink by the water and discover local restaurants and Greek tavernas before returning to your yacht. Sometimes we’ll be at anchor, giving you the chance to truly disconnect and experience the best part of yacht life swimming the day away, and a night relaxing under the stars.
Each route begins and ends at the same departure point: Paros, Athens, Corfu or Lefkada. We’ll provide the joining details you need ahead of your cruise, and our team can help with planning your journey to the departure marina.
