Planning a Greece sailing holiday on our Lefkada Explorer route? Read our guide that covers all the practical travel advice you need to know ahead of your trip.
Your meeting point will be confirmed in your welcome email three days before your departure, along with the names of your crew and their contact details. If you have not received anything by this time, please contact the office.
The Yacht Getaways crew will be ready to meet you on Saturday at 3 pm at your departure marina, and you should be able to board your yacht directly. Once onboard, you can settle in and complete the safety briefing before departure by 5 pm.
For early arrivals, luggage can be dropped off near the yacht. Specific details will be included in your welcome email.
If you are running late or struggling to find the meeting point, please don’t hesitate to call or email your Skipper and Host using the details provided in your welcome email.
We highly recommend downloading WhatsApp as the primary communication tool with your crew.
Your yacht will return to Perigiali between 1 pm and 3 pm on the following Friday and you can check out by 5 pm.

There are frequent flights to Preveza from several European countries, including the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.
For travellers arriving from outside Europe, it’s often easiest to fly into London, Bristol, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, or Munich, and then take a connecting flight to Preveza.
The journey from Preveza Airport to Perigiali typically takes 40 minutes and will cost approximately €60 for 1-4 passengers. Taxis are readily available outside the arrivals terminal, making this a convenient transfer option.
Alternatively, Athens and Corfu are also viable entry points.
From Athens: You can arrange a private transfer or use public transport to reach Lefkada.
From Corfu: You may take a ferry via Paxos (generally operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during peak season), or travel by ferry to Igoumenitsa, followed by public transport or a private transfer to Lefkada.

SAIL RESPONSIBLY
Bringing a reusable water bottle helps cut down on single-use plastics, and using a reusable tote bag while shopping reduces waste.
ECO-CONSCIOUS ESSENTIALS
Choosing reef-safe sun cream and biodegradable toiletries helps keep marine life safe, while avoiding products containing microplastics protects the ocean’s delicate ecosystem.
SUPPORT LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Supporting local communities by dining at family-run restaurants, shopping at small markets, and choosing sustainable excursions enriches your travel experience while giving back to the places we visit.
By making mindful choices, we can all enjoy an incredible adventure while keeping our ocean as pristine as possible and clean for our future guests (and generations)!
All optional activities are organised and paid for during the week in the local currency.

The local payment for 2026 bookings on all catamaran classes is €280 per person. Please note that for whole-catamaran bookings, the total local payment is based on the catamaran at full capacity.
All local payments must be paid in Euro(€) currency.
You can make this payment in advance of your holiday or at check-in, either in cash or via the link below.
If you have any further questions about your trip, please email [email protected] or book in a call with one of our team. If you or anyone you are travelling with has any particular health needs or allergies let us know.
